Seduction of the Innocent?!?
Nov. 23rd, 2011 04:06 pmGreetings, Mortals!
The newest issue of "Batman : The Dark Knight" has been released and, well, there was a page that left me speechless. Once again Batman is a victim of the seduction of the not-so-innocent. Enjoy...if ya can.
I think context may not be needed at all. I will simply say that Batman was left weakened after fighting Clayface and the White Rabbit decided to take advantage of the situation.

Sadly I will have to quote Frank Miller by saying : "They kept the masks on, it's better that way". Well, I suppose our good pal Bruce still hasn't learned to deal with female villains and their endless resources.

Followed by:
"On the contrary, my dear onion, I feel fine. And quite stable, considering I'm as habitually unstable as a rabid honey badger surfing on a jelly volcano."
And I thought MY jokes were bad...

Date: 2011-11-23 11:38 pm (UTC)It's intriguing considering that the Steroid Joker was * SPOILERS * really Clayface (Basil Karlo, I suppose), who is known for been an actor * SPOILERS * and one would expect better things from him. Then again, this DCnU just reads like the 90s in so many levels.

What I like is how Batman caught on right away with Clayface here. In the game he was fooled pretty in a fight with Clayface who he hit repeatedly. Clearly being poisoned with Joker's blood that has been poisoned with Titan doesn't do wonders for your deductive abilities (or is that inductive reasoning?). Then again, in the game Joker actually instructed Clayface on how to act as him. In the comic Joker's been "retired" for a little while so Batman probably was suspicious based on that. Plus Bane already dosed Joker and co. up before, White Rabbit doing it would have made him suspect that there was a 2nd trick in the mix.
