It's that time of year again, where I pick up from where I left off in Gunnerkrigg.

Yes, Gunnerkrigg, the wonderful world of well-managed mythology and technology, the school grown from the Seed of Bismuth.

If you haven't read it yet, then UNDER WHAT ROCK HAVE YOU BEEN SLEEPING?

*ehem*

I mean, go read it :)

And in this chapter, well.... Parley and Smitty are in this one.

With very normal teenage-y moments (and teleporting):

Don'cha just hate when this happens?

Adorbs :D

Anyways, we go on to.... less teenage-y, more battle-y mythology-y pursuits.

Also, this:

I like how Parley's friends are *utterly for* her relationship with Smitty, she's just too embarrassed to admit it in front of them ^^

I think it's more like they sort of tease younger levels, and Smitty being a year younger, Parley's afraid of how they'd treat them.

Personally, I think they seem nice :) And I keep imagining a specific accent to their British.... I'm not sure how to describe it... like the accent somehow used to portray British rock band girls in animated shows.

I can identify with the younger levels thing. In my course, the second and third years always think the first years are so cute. The kids in the optional prep course before that even more so.

It's either you love em or you hate em, but there's always the big distinction between you and them either way.

True, sometimes firsties can be a pain. This year, we've been getting them using the second and third year labs more than usual during non-class times, and they've been causing problems. Leaving messes, getting in the way, that sort of thing. So tolerance is a bit lower than usual (besides, they've got four line test machines and second year only has two, what do they need ours for?).
