Two and four pages from DAREDEVIL 5 and 6 respectively...

Last issue, Daredevil stumbled onto a joint venture between various terrorist organizations (the fictional, superhero comics kind, not the frightening real world kind) to incorporate all their shell companies through Latveria.

The thing in his hands is a database of confidential information on the five cartels' operations, unhackable and indestructible, cannibalized from Reed Richards tech.

I like how the HYDRA agent has both a handgun and a ridiculous gun.

The cartel's many representatives wearing their respective organization's uniforms looks nice, though it makes me think each of them has a " I got punched in the face/hit by the weapon of/had my friend thrown into me by an Avenger " story.

(Well, probably the AIM, HYDRA, and Secret Empire folks.. the Black Spectre person, maybe not, and I don't know who punches the fellow from Agencé Byzantine there.)

After his identity was revealed in Bedis's run, and seemed common knowledge in Shadowland, heck in Fear Itself government agents seemed to want to ask Foggy where Murdock was.

Continuity issues?

Matt's secret identity was reinstated during Brubaker's run, except nobody really believes it. For the sake of Matt though, he's denying it.

Good Lord, Waid. I swore after MIller, Nocenti, and Miller (twice!) I'd never touch Daredevil again with a ten-foot pole. Bendis couldn't change my mind, but you're tempting me.

I have to admit, what little daredevil Ive read Ive read through this forum. Ive never been a huge fan, but this run has so far been fun in a way that most comics today arent, particularly the superhero kind. Its one of the few titles I buy regularly.

It's very, very good. I'd even venture to say it's the one book that all my comic book friends agree on.

Foggy must really not like her, given Matt's history with women.

That did come across. I gathered that he's using her as the bait for his own fishing expedition to figure out what's really going on in Matt's head.

No, he’s just worried about his friend. “Poor Matt, I bet he’s really needing some more hot chicks right now. I’ll throw three or four more supermodel-level willing beauties in his room, I’m sure this time most of them will survive.”

My little sister, when I approached her about the tendency of Matt's girlfriends to drop dead, came up with a solution!
Get him a boyfriend.

I (half) kid.

OR, you know, be creative and get him a girl who DOESN'T look like a supermodel. How about a normal-looking girl who smells really really nice, or is just super likable? Not like Matt judges by looks, anyway.

They were last seen, I think, in Taskmaster's latest mini. So, yes, they do seem to be around.

If that mini is even in canon, that is. It's portrayal of Tasky goes directly against the previous, Udon art, mini and his subsequent guest appearances in Agent X and Deadpool.

Double-finned helmet's from Black Spectre, and so might just be a lady..

Sort-of-ankh guy, by elimination, is from Agencé Byzantine, which seems to be an all-new group of bad.

So wait... the Mandrill had his own terrorist organization made up of women he brainwashed with his powers?

I kinda presume the gas masks are filled with more of his pheremones, so they don't fall out of his power at inopportune times while on assignment.

The Secret Empire have been around lately, AFAIK. They've shown up in the Nomad backup where she and Arana/Spidergirl were hunting them down.

The one design looks familiar...is that guy serving a new version of Scorpio's Zodiac cartel? The guy in blue, I got no idea.

....does some googling....

Okay, his outfit looks nothing like the old ones, but if Bruiser's sponsorship logos are any indication, then one of them is probably a new version of the Serpent Society.

Ah, I love to see Daredevil use his brains instead of his muscles to get out of that.

And the art is very, very good - I'm sorry Marcos Martin is leaving the series soon. Not that I don't like Paolo Rivera, of course. Both have an old-style that looks like actual comics art and not photorealistic, still pictures.

"There's something he's not saying."

Even in the first issue of Mark Waid's run, Foggy was concerned at least part of Matt's "new atitude" was an act. I'm glad Foggy is still worried.

I wondered if maybe Daredevil being Mr. Cheerful is something like certain characters who, if they didn't laugh and joke, they would never stop crying. Gar Logan/Beast Boy was like this sometimes.

When Foggy is used properly, he is very, very good, very smart and willing to go the extra mile for Matt (including breaking up his train-wreck relationships before anyone gets killed) ; but he's too often used simply for comic relief.

I've know men like Foggy. They look bumbling and inconsequential, but they have minds like steel traps and they're aware of everything that goes on around them. Quite a few are self-made millionaires.
