It's funny that Cyclops even gets Mary Sueish treatment in webcomics/fan art. Any fight between him and Namor should last as long as it takes Namor to throw a punch.

Except that Scott doesn't need to throw a punch, he just needs to be able to LOOK at Namor, and at that point, a forceblast capable of levelling mountains is already striking ol' Imperi-ass Rex.

One of the issues during Whedon's run, I'm sure. One of the few times that joke article about Cyclops and his "leadering skills" didn't ring so true.

That much is fairly true. However, given that Scott's power gives new meaning to "if looks could kill"... it might take a while before Namor actually gets close enough to throw a punch. Which doesn't explain the state of their clothes... not that I'm going to complain about that one, LOL.
