In all honesty, I think that it's just some kind of hazing thing that the school has that's Steph's taking part in. Hence why Steph and the other girl don't look that concerned.

It's not surprising that the costumes the other girls are wearing resemble Kathy's - remember, she was connected to Leviathan. (Albeit in one of his other guises.)

Maybe I've I've been on the Internet too long, but it seems to be invoking the 'Women in Peril' motif, which is a major fetish in the comic book community.

So that's probably why it irks me.

Not entirely sure! I know it's of Throg, the Frog of Thunder, but I have no idea where the image came from originally, all I know is that I brazenly stole the icon from somebody in this Community awhile back.
