Now that they've published 4 stories, I'll post another excerpt from the Marvel Holiday Special 2011, still featuring Kitty Pryde, but this time she's playing second fiddle to the Ever-Loving Blue Eyed Thing




There is smashing, and Ben investigates. He tracks a string of festive thefts until he gets to a big guy making off with a tree, some lights and assorted presents.


Then the children of the Yancy Street Children's Home come out to tell Ben that it's all a mistake and the big guy was trying to give them a good Christmas by stealing things.

So...

Chinese buffet for orphans and Jews alike!

I'm slightly disappointed that Kitty is wearing her X-men outfit and not her headmistress clothes


According to Wikipedia, our ensemble could include Magneto (duh), Gert, Doc Samson, Justice, but makes no mention of Veda. Sad face.

just from seeing the tags I knew it was something involving the Jews of Marvel. Sabra could've been there too but she probably spends most if not all her time in Israel.

Didn't know Wiccan was Jewish either.

Doesn't Moon Knight have a patron god in the Egyptian pantheon? Khonsu, yes? Or maybe that's more like he has a god believing in him, rather than the other way around...

Is there anything to suggest that Thing and Shadowcat have, y'know, ever even actually talked to each other before this issue, never mind sorting out a Channukah get-together?

Oh, and Justice is Jewish too, but I assume Vance and Robbie are still out having their (hopefully hi-jinks filled) road trip.

I can't help it, the idea of a practicing Jew (rather than the non-practicing, cultural sort) calling themselves "Wiccan" makes me facepalm. It's times like this that I'm reminded of how much that bugs me.
