News about 2012's Free Comic Book Day releases


First up, Baltazar and Franco are producing a new title , which debuts in the DC Nation FCBD




This May, the Eisner Award-winning creative team of the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling TINY TITANS, Art Baltazar and Franco, will continue bringing their wonderful and unique humor to DC Comics with the new ongoing monthly series, SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES. The series will be starring (you guessed it!) the whole Superman gang – Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Lex Luthor, Bizarro, General Zod and … Fuzzy the Krypto Mouse!

If I trust anyone to add a new member to the Supercast, it's Baltazar and Franco! :D

And this one from Bluewater Productions... a companion (one might even say sidekick) series to their "Misadventures of Adam West"




From the creators of the hit Misadventures of Adam West series, comes the out-of-this-world spin-off series featuring everyone’s favorite Boy Wonder, Burt Ward! After playing Robin in the classic ’60s Batman TV show, Burt still needs to be a hero. And along with a couple of friends, saves the world again and again!

I have no idea what this might be like, but I like the 1960's animated style they've got there...

And one final title, which is... most unexpected, from Drawn and Quarterly

Has anyone posted any of Bluewater's "action" comics? Like that girl who is to be Medusa or something?

It does seem to be a genuinely bizarre hodge-podge of licenses.

Bluewater is kind of odd. I'm guessing they are making all their money off those biographical comics and all this other stuff is kind of a secondary thought.
