The Green Goblin that nearly was.

It has to be said that the Sam Raimi Spider-Man Green Goblin is... not a terrific design.

The term "Power Ranger villain" has been thrown at the design more than once, and that seems to be almost insulting to some of the Power Ranger villains.
Amalgamated Dynamics Inc (an FX house) has put this up online, showing an earlier idea for Norman Osborne's other identity, and frankly, it creeps the hell out of me, which is surely what they Green Goblin should be!
And for legality, one of the most memorable Green Goblin covers, and a personal favourite of mine... can't think why! :)

It's not as if it has to be a complicated prosthetic in the context of the film even if that's what it is behind the scenes. Have him grab a mask, go on a spiel about how masks inspire fear in their enemies and that will probably satisfy most filmgoers.
