I'd say the issue keeps up wonderfully the momentum of energy, freshness and fun of the the first two. It also delivers some wonderful interaction between the students of the JG School for Higher Learning. Such as:

I don't see how Oya is OOC. I do see your point about new young x-students, but well, most of them are characters already introduced, they just get the chance to be to the forefront here. (no excuse for kid Gladiator though. One Alien should be good enough with Broo. Then again, he seems fun. Hey, I'm always happy when they give me kids to root for!)

could happen, but i think it's marvel's 2nd best selling book rn after uncanny and it's gold side's flagship book.
it could all change after avengers vs. x-men, though.
