Brenda goes into the restroom to defuse Jaime's situation. She then proceed to ask if he heard about what happen to Paco the other night. Jaime worried about his best friend goes out to look for him.

Honestly, a lot of that comment stems from one moment in the series: when Jamie me with the new Vigilante. For the first couple of issues, he made cameos, was mysterious, etc. Then he helped Jamie with...something. He rescued someone. I don't have the issues anymore and my memory is very hazey.

Anyway, after that, the very next issue, Jamie and his family are on some kind of a roadtrip, and Vigilante is with them, like they know and trust him. There was this giant hole missing where he went from mysterious stranger to trusted ally. That alone honestly turned me off from the series.

Actually it's Peacemaker not Vigilante.

issue six, he shows up at the end with a couple of La Dama's goons and reveals that the Scarab isn't magic it's tech. It's co-written by Giffen and Rogers.

Issue seven written by Rogers, has the Reyes family, Brenda and Paco checking out a crater that was apparently made when Jaime crashed there. Peacemaker shows up several pages in, having snuck up on a motorcycle to Paco's shock, and is actually heavily questioned by Alberto Reyes with such things as "What do you want with my family?" Peacemakes says it has nothing to do with the Reyes family, just the hunk of alien melded welded Jaime's spine. Jaime's opinion of Peacemaker is simply "He's slightly less crazy than everybody else trying to "help" me. Or less evil. Probably not both."

*nods* As I said, my memory is very hazey. And as I also said, I wasn't a great fan of the series in the first place. I tried it out after everyone was gushing about it and didn't find it as great as others saw it.
