""The New 52 was about showing the new world. Now we're just expanding on that world and furthering the story," says Bob Harras, DC Entertainment's editor in chief.
Make that plural "worlds." DC is bringing back its concept of parallel Earths in two of the books. Earth 2 features the return of the fan-favorite Justice Society, while Worlds' Finest stars two superheroines, Huntress and Power Girl.
In addition, G.I. Combat will offer a rotating roster of creative teams and rebooted tales of past war comics such as The Haunted Tank and The Unknown Soldier, while The Ravagers follows four teen superheroes on the run from an evil organization.
Morrison's Batman Incorporated pits the popular Caped Crusader and his army of global crime fighters against former flame Talia al Ghul, with their son Damian (who also is the current Batman sidekick, Robin) caught in the middle.
"It's like Kramer vs. Kramer, but they've got thermonuclear capability," Morrison says.
And instead of one superhero, MiƩville will create several every month in Dial H, about a guy who finds an old dial that gives him different powers every time he uses it.
Nine of DC's "New 52" issues were among the 10 best-selling comics of 2011, according to Diamond Comics Distributors.
"Part of the sign of the New 52 growing up is that it can afford to stretch its wings a little bit and so some things that are a bit more left field," MiƩville says. "There's room for a lot of different inflections in this vocabulary.""

So, JSA + James Robinson + Nicola Scott = Yay!
Batman Inc. should have Cass in (they SAID it should) so also yay.
Dial H for Hero could be interesting.
GI Combat might be interesting, though it seems to be more Weird War than more of a straight war comic.
And Ravagers... kind of sounds like Gail Simone's Gen13 run combined with Runaways, though it might be interesting. Though I'm getting Cass vibes from it, as I think I remember Gail saying she wanted to use them at some point.
For legality, here's a bit of one of the Dial H covers,

EDIT: Seems that the six new titles are meant to be replacing: BLACKHAWKS, HAWK AND DOVE, MEN OF WAR, MISTER TERRIFIC, O.M.A.C. and STATIC SHOCK.
No, please, don't cancel Hawk and Dove. Where will we get out Rob Liefeld art from now.

Date: 2012-01-12 04:20 pm (UTC)And I assumed that this was just the new Amazing Man in the New 52--much like Buddy Blank was OMAC back in Kirby's creation, but they created a new character to do it for this universe.

Date: 2012-01-12 04:34 pm (UTC)The first was a contempory of Jay Garrick and co, who competed in the 1930s Olympics that Jesse Owens was a part of before getting superpowers in a lab accident. He was actually pretty cool, and was later involved in the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s. He was created in the 1980s.
The second one was his grandson who had the same powers, and was inducted into the JLA at Wonder Woman's request. He was later killed by the second Mist while a part of the Crimson Fox's unofficial JLEurope in Starman, as the Mist felt that she needed to kill some superheroes to be considered a "proper supervillain".
The third appeared in JSA, and was another grandson of the original Amazing Man. He was a Muslim who was operating primarily in New Orleans post-Katrina, and he was pretty cool, though I think that he sort of dropped off the face of the Earth after Magog turned into an asshole and took over the team.
