Waterbender fights always look so damn cool!

The animation definately looks a lot crisper and "realistic" from what I've seen so far. :)

Especially when they whip it out like a glock. I'm starting to picture an Avatar version of Fistful of Dollars, where Waterbender Clint Eastwood blows away crooks by drawing his canteen at lightning speed.

I was thinking more of the Katara/Master Pakku duel, where amongst other things, they keep switching the state of the water from fluid water to solid ice as it suits them. :)

I don't understand why people have been treating the screenshots of

Andrea Romano, the voice casting person behind Avatar and the DCAU stuff, dropped an offhand comment about all the original cast being dead by the time the show is based. This made the appearance of [Name Redacted] something of a pleasant suprise.

Given the show is set at least 70 years after the first one, that characters death would have hardly been surprising.

Depends. In the show people who are very, VERY good at bending have been shown to live (barring violent deaths) to be at least a century old miminum, for example, King Bumi who was still alive and kicking at 112ish years old and the last Earth Kingdom Avatar, Kyoshi, who lived to be 200 plus years old at the time of her death.

So technically, since it's only 70 years since the end of the war (69 since the Promise miniseries), it's not completely out of the question for more members of the cast other than [Name Redacted] to be knocking about somewhere.

Bumi seems to be the exception and Kyoshi is of course, the Avatar. Also it might be more tied to them being both Earth Benders primarily, so it could be some sort of genetic thing for Earth Benders to have longer lives?

There's the Guru as well, apparently's it's canon that he was old even when the Air Nomads were still around. Could just be a chi thing.

Yeah, but given we've seen multiple octogenarians (and older) in TLA, most of whom were strong benders, [redacted] being dead would be even more surprising.

Well considering there seemed to be a blood relative of [Redacted] in the leaked scene with [Redacted] as a member of the Order of the White Lotus, then it's not unlikely that [Redacted] is in the show too, if not [Redacted]'s children.

What did they expect?

Well, yes. It had previously been revealed that all the main characters were dead, so the leak about this certain person was a happy surprise to many.

Yeah, I had that trouble too. Basically you click them, then they take a little time to activate the video, then you should be able to watch them.

If they still don't work, the clips consist of,

- the Gangster fight
- the Introduction of the metalbending cops (and their airship! :D)
- Korra and [Redacted] saying goodbye to each other, with the confirmation that [Redacted]'s sibling is dead, sadly.
- And Korra passing her Firebending exam.

I have to say one major change from the original show seems to be that the fights actually have physical contact, and Korra is hella strong (able to punt a guy across a street and through a shop window).

I'm sad to hear about [redacted], but I'm not surprised. Since they've not appeared anywhere by now I kinda assumed that that was the case.
