Confirmation of some of the characters and info on the series.

Interview here,
http://www.newsarama.com/comics/howard-mackie-second-wave-ravagers-120116.html

Well, Caitlin Fairchild from Gen13 and Rose Wilson are both confirmed, and POSSIBLY Superboy, though in his case he's probably just going to be in the first issue. The indication that other than Rose and Caitlin the other characters might be original ones, makes me a bit more hopeful that certain characters haven't been drawn into this book, Batman Inc. or no.

For legality, a Superboy cover.

Yeah, that's a Superboy cover--Shane Davis has been the cover artist for the book for a while now.

Kinda reminds me of the 90s, when Kon was chillaxing with a group called the Ravers, apparently.

Ah, the 90s.

Also, Rose, naming your group after yourself? How Julian Keller of you.

Julian nicked the name from Ms Frost's original team, so he was hardly brimming with originality himself.

And then Emma named that team the Hellions.

"Is it just me, or did we just become 'Hellion and The Hellions'?"
"There'll be no living with him now."

I approve of his absence-of-dress sense, and that they gave him nipples.

Have you been reading the DCnU Ray? I feel like you would him. It. The book. And the dude.

I'm a little surprised that book hasn't been getting more love around here.

I have indeed, and been enjoying it, though it does keep reminding me of the 1980's Will Payton Starman *, another series I really liked.

*Average but decent guy gets hit by a bolt of energy of unknown origin and finds he's now no longer quite human, with energy powers, and an ability to change his appearance, which he doesn't always get right.

DC continues to champion the return of '90s writers famous for crappy comics. Really, just hire Chuck Austen once and for all, Didio. Stop fighting the urge; you know you want it!

Except, Red Hood issues aside, Lobdell's been largely received in a positive fashion. The real terror is Liefeld, frankly.

Liefeld... *hisses and spits* I can't believe they are letting him take over three books in a couple of months!

Liefdeld. As the Linkara intro goes, "not an artist."

I didn't necessarily mean in that context, just people who'd go on a book together fairly well :)

To be honest, after hearing a theory yesterday that Cass or Steph may be in it, I was pretty much setting myself for disappointment whatever they announced.

So this will be like a Gen13xDeathstroke book... Featuring Rose and Caitlin? Alright!
