I love the last two! Erté crossed with comics always = win.

And that's quite a trouser-bulge on Ancent!Cap.

(Minor quibble: I don't know whether the "ancient inscription" cover is meant to be Egyptian or Aztec; but in Egyptian art and writing, gods are usually portrayed first and largest. Of the characters pictured, only one is a god. Hint: it's not Steve.)

I really am going to be sick of seeing the Avengers movie cast by the end of the summer, aren't I? Both in comic and actual actor/actress form.

I can totally understand that.

All things considered with the movie cast, nearly all of them are operating on at least one Avengers team (Main, New and Secret). All of them are in the cartoon series, just Black Widow isn't on the team in season 1. Now there is a comic with the movie line-up and a several alternate covers devoted to them. Then on top of that all of them will be in AvX.

I'm not at the point where I'm sick of seeing the movie line-up just yet. I think I'm just more glad that they are doing more with the Avengers nowadays.

But.. They've been doing more with the Avengers for years, now. And in fact, I think it's detrimental to the other franchises Marvel has, personally. I think nearly ten years of Bendis, now the movie (after several movies for individual characters), a TV show, and more comic books than seems entirely necessary is just starting to drive me a bit nuts.

That said, at least the Avengers movie lineup is.. Well, somewhat representative of the original lineup. Obviously no Hank and Jan, and a lack of Pietro and Wanda is understandable - given Fox might have the rights, but still. It's nicely representative of the earlier years, whereas I thought we might get lumbered with a Bendisvengers.

I'm just saying I'm glad they are getting more exposure now. Where as for years it was X-Men mostly getting this kind of treatment.

Something about Chibi-art work has always disturbed me-- the presence of breasts and cleavage on female Chibi characters. "Chibi" is a Japanese portmanteau of "child body," after all.

Strangely enough, beards and facial hair on male chibi characters don't bother me.

But still, D'aaaaaaw! Widdle Thor's Mjolnir is bigger than his head!
