As this comes up every time, I'll get it out of the way now: I am not explaining Pictures For Sad Children. That would be a waste of your time and mine.

But what I really want to know is, PFSC people, what do you think of the new style? HOLY SHIT, COLOURS. SEVEN OF THEM. Is it my imagination, or have the strips been extra weird lately?

Would I have missed the colours, if they'd come first and now it was black and white? It's impossible to say.

One kind of useless observation about the colours is that this will reduce the comparisons to XKCD.

Hmm. Monochromatic drawings or two starkly contrasting colours probably suit his style a little better in my opinion. Still, I'm interested to see where this goes.
John has been branching out a lot creatively recently. He's always been more of an artist than a cartoonist, but the video installations on his tumblr are just.. well.

This isn't bad by any means, but I do miss Paul (who is a ghost).

This reminds me, I've been meaning to post some classic PFSC stuff like Sara's Story or Stevie Might Be A Bear Maybe.

I follow John on Tumblr but I missed the video installations. Probably I follow too many people. Are they terribly avant garde?
