Hey, Rags has been drawing Clark and Jimmy to look like Harry and Ron past few issues. Damn near makes me wish they'd draw Lois to have ultra curly hair and glasses, were it not for the unfortunate implications.

It's funny that people are accustomed to linking glasses with intelligence. I recall seeing an interview with J.K. Rowling where she said that she was apprehensive that the casting directors would just plop glasses on a girl to make her "smart": how many times have we seen female characters who are otherwise gorgeous put glasses on and are suddenly "geeky" and unattractive?

I still remember the bit from Friends that lampshaded that.

Joey: You always had glasses, they were just kinda...

That exact thing actually happened to me, I got glasses in my mid-twenties, and when I wore them back to the office for the first time, it took quite some convincing at least two of the people WHO I HAD SHARED AN OFFICE WITH for over a year, that I'd never worn glasses before.

Nope...frizzy brown hair, buck teeth, and a know-it-all attitude. No glasses. (By the end of the series, she's tamed the first two...the last only got worse, but Ron and Harry got absolutely insufferable, too, so, it's just being typical 17 year olds.)

Ooh, I like that bit about the barn changing colors. Always nice when we SHOULD (even though I didn't) be able to pick up on the same clues as the character. Remind me of that scene in Doctor Who, in the cave with all the statues, when you SHOULD be able to connect the Doctor's comments on the statue's creators having two heads and the fact that none of the statues have more than one, but you're still just as fooled as the characters.

Clark's been looking like Harry Potter both in Action and Superman since the relaunch.

He actually looks MORE like Harry in Superman, IMO.

I love this! So sweet that Clark asked if Jonathan and Martha would come back with him into space if his birth parents came for him.

I really wish the Reboot hadn't taken away Clark's parents. One of the best things about post-Crisis was his parents being alive and well for him.

Reminds me of issue 600 where Clark is growing up and his powers are just kicking in, and he sees his Dad almost get his arm torn off to stop a wheat-thrasher from killing a neighbor...

God, I love that scene of Clark and Jonathan laughing about what they did to the bank.

This is the Superman I love, the guy who sticks up for the little people's interests and fucks with the fat cats even if he has to break some laws.
