Animal Man and Swamp Thing are my two favourite comics at the moment that I didn't expect to like as much as I do...I'm not 100% sure about the insertion of this story into the middle of everything else that's going on, but I do like the parallel between Buddy's character in the film and Buddy himself.

Also, reading this issue digitally? Very cinematic! Good design work there! :)

The thing is, it serves as a nice catch-up story to sum up things so far, and it allows for the main artist on the series to catch up on his later issues without too much bother. The parallel between the character in the movie and Buddy is pretty much the point.
