Hello scans_daily! Recently joined and I'm making this tentative first post about various fanmade character redesigns I've encountered.

I'm interested in hearing the community's feedback on these alternative designs. Apologies if there are repeats from other fanart postings.

Please let me know if there are any problems or changes I should make to adhere to the rules of the community.

For legality, the solicited cover of Wonder Women #8 which according to the summary on the DC Comics site, depicts her using the "Pistols of Eros" during a trip into Hades' underworld.



Now, although I generally cringe at attempts to arm Wonder Woman with modern weaponry, for whatever reason this image looks badass to me!

I mean, it's Wonder Woman, delving into the underworld, armed with guns that apparently shoot love-bullets.

That's all I'm saying.

The Green Lantern uniform seems more like a Kyle Rayner look, and the insignia on the middle outfit's shoulder looks more Indigo Tribe than Green Lantern.

The Wonder Woman look reminds me of Stan Lee's "Just Imagine" version. I like it, though.

Batman looks like he took costume tips from Black Panther.

I'm curious what makes you think the GL outfit is more like something Kyle would wear. Is it because it sort of resembles Kyle's Ion costume?

Honestly not sure what the Indigo symbol is doing there. It's not addressed by the artist.

I'm glad you also like the Wonder Woman redesign here :)

And taking a second look at it, I do see the Batman costume's resemblance to Black Panther. The artist said he based the design off special forces soldiers rather than superhero costumes but I really wish he added the iconic Bat symbol to the chest.

It does resemble Kyle's Ion costume, and the chest logo is similar to what Kyle was sporting for quite some time. The vaguely armored look shares a similar vibe to Kyle's first modified costume, as well as what happened a few months ago in GL: New Guardians when he sported all seven rings. The caped costume could be feasible for Hal, though, thanks to his time as The Spectre.

It just has an overall tone and look of what Kyle would come up with.

Specially since besides Parallax and Kingdom Come, Hal's costume's been pretty consistent throughout the ages. (and 2-3 Elseworld stories)

While Kyle change costumes from time to time, keeping this sort of style, details and coloring. (more black than gree, big shapes, Ion logo,...)

Far-right lantern design gives me a real Jedi vibe. Looks sweet!

The "Sexy" Superman and Supergirl designs are pretty keen.

Oh man, I am loving that Wondy design, they took the Diana Prince spy outfit and made it look cool.

Same feelings here! I like the sleek modern look of this outfit and the use of white as the primary color.

I think the whiteness is the only issue I have with it, it looks like something that would be hell to keep clean in battle! :)

The sexy Superman one I think would be a great costume for Conner, and the Wonder Woman one would look good on Donna Troy...I don't know if I can see Clark and Diana in those outfits myself though...

The only thing you're missing is an image for legality. A page or cover for example.


The Wonder Woman redesign is nice. Reminds me of the look she used in the JLA/Planetary alternate universe story.

Hal's face in those three somehow make me think of Luke Skywalker. Ceremonial suits would be a nice look but GL's don't seem to ever wear ceremonial looks sadly.

Thanks for the help pyro! Just added a comic cover from an upcoming issue. Will that suffice?

I also like GL's ceremonial outfit and it is a pity such things don't ever seem to appear in comics. Police forces and soldiers often have special dress uniforms for formal occasions. I see no reason why the GLC can't.

I think the superman image pretty cool design, I dig how you did the cape. The supergirl very awesome and like the boots.

Also wonder woman going john woo very badass indeed.

Wonder Woman's design is to plain. On Superman the S is to big( so is his head) but otherwise it's fine.

I love Hal's outfit! People ussually complain about bringing back old characters (yeah the final of Blackest Night was disapointing) But I think Hal is vintage enough to let It pass, Is cool to have some one fro the army that is not a total jerk
