Are the original Doom Patrol established in DCnU? Just wondering, and if they influence Gar's character. Also, it seems Gar wouldn't have been a TV Star in the DCnU if it is using the whole "the general public just doesn't know what to make of superheroes" thing.

The DCnU using "The general public is confused by superheroes" makes more sense than just copying Marvel's "The general public despises superheroes."
