Greatest Love Story of All Time

GREATEST LOVE STORY EVAR.

Man, I miss this Emma. Y'know, the one who wasn't constantly being unpleasant to people for no good reason. The thing with her and Bobby was cute, I wouldn't mind that being explored more. Though, at this point, that probably isn't going to happen.

How comfortable could a date with a woman who psionically hijacked your body without your permission, ever be?

I'm all for cute, but this is heading into something creepier.

That was years later (for us, anyway).

I don't care, it was something akin to violation and an assault and it would freak Bobby right out, more than any other character to have him have a cute infatuation with Emma.

I'm saying it was cute when it happened, but yeah, it would probably be freaky now and it makes what she did to him à bit worse.

Ummmm Emma's body-jack of Bobby happened long before the scene shown here. It was prior to the formation of Gen-X.

actually Emma's bodyjacking led to numerous relationship fics. I think this was actually well after the relationship craze died though

I'm sure it did, doesn't make me feel any less squicked by the idea.

The incident was also the cause of an underlying resentment that Bobby had because Emma, caring less about the wlefare of his body than he did, made the Iceman powers do any number of very impressive tricks that he'd never tried himself.

Someone has to do an Infectia megapost. Just so I don't feel like I'm the only one who remembers her.

Tough to do a megapost of someone who only appeared in three issues in total, no?

Point taken.

A mini post then.

" Between this and his things with Mystique, Lorna, and Infectia, one could argue that Iceman has a thing for dangerous/evil women."

You mean he goes after the unatainable ones. *Cough* Cus he's gay *cough*

Heh. If that were only so, I think Northstar's crush on him would have worked out a whole lot better.

Oh you know Iceman was all about denial in that. He jokingly flirts with Northstar, later freaks out and claims he didn't even know Northstar was gay. Yes I will use shitty Austen writing as an argument.

Actually, later she and Bobby reconciled and settled the issue when he had a hole in his chest while still in ice-form. He wrecked her place, but with her counsel and a lot of introspective talking, he managed to close the gap and return to his human form. But instead of a romantic-vibe, it was closer to a mentor/mother role for Emma with her being proud at Bobby overcoming his self-doubt.
