Another Reason Why Doctor Who is better than Star Trek, a tribute former showrunners Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner,

For legality, Tom Baker's Doctor meeting an object in an alien junkyard that is horrible for several reasons...

This is wildly demented, though let's not forget

Picard's tribute to Cole Porter

Though it's worth mentioning that he IS apparently singing the song to Wesley... so make of that what you will...

Haha, seen that one too. They really couldn't have picked a better Doctor.
I too have another ace up my sleeve:

Y'know I don't think I've ever actually watched it all the way through.

Sigma Odd busting some serious moves, but the adorable little dancing Adipose are very cute!

And I needed the pickmeup, I've just been watching "Goodbye Bannerman Road" feature on the final series of "The Sarah-Jane Adventures" Bluray, and whilst very touching, it was nice to cheer myself up watching Lis Sladen and Tommy Knight dancing with David Tennant, even if only for a moment.

John Barrowman. WHAT. A. VOICE!

He needs to do musical theatre. :3

On another note, I did not know David Tennant had a vibratto. Learn something new everyday. :O

That's actually hurting the case for Doctor Who. You can go anywhere in the universe at any time in the past or future as well as the present, and the best gig you ever saw was The Proclaimers?

To be fair, both 11 and 7 had better taste in music (Dusty Springfield and free-form jazz) and 3's listening wasn't limited to Earth.

Prior to being cast as Captain Jack, musical theatre was all he was known for. (and having watched Torchwood, how I wish that were still the case)

Well, he was also known before Doctor Who for being in Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (note that I said known, not admired) - a film so cringingly bad that it's almost impossible to wipe from your memory once you've had the bad luck of watching it.

IIRC 10 thought that a 1952 Elvis concert in New York was the best, which is why he was taking Rose there in "The Idiot Lantern"

And 3's taste in Venusian lullabies might be down to how similar they were to Earth music, he may be singing "Klokleda Partha Menin Klatch, Haroon, Haroon, Haroon", but we know he was singing it to the tune of "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen"

This is a bit embarrassing since I've been saying this for a while now, but according to "Human Nature"-or a deleted scene from it. I haven't seen the episode itself in a while and different YouTube videos say different things-the best gig he was The Housemartins, not The Proclaimers. Not that that's any better.

Ok, I found the actual scene from the episode and and it looks like when David Tennant said that, he was just ad-libbing for a videotape that was going to be fast forwarded through.

As for "The Idiot Lantern," I can't find a scene where he talks about a specific Elvis show. They were trying to see Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show. If he did say the best show he'd seen was Elvis in 1952, either he was lying or the BBC has very lazy fact-checkers.

Ah, okay, I was only half remembering "The Idiot Lantern", I knew they were aiming for Elvis, but not that it was the Ed Sullivan show.
