Lauren Faust's Supergirl!

There has been kind of a lot of fail regarding DC's treatment of female characters this week, what with the things with Catwoman being tortured via beating while in a "sexy" pose and the decision over in Blue Beetle to have Jaime belt Brenda in the face "for her own good" and all.

So here's something that should hopefully be good.

Here's Lauren Faust's design of Supergirl in the upcoming DC Nation show she's doing that stars Kara, Barbara and Donna Troy. Considering her track record this show should be fun as well. :)

The show's going to be called Super Best Friends Forever, and I think is going to be the same format as Adventure Time, with each episode divided between two short stories or the like. Since Ms. Faust is officially a Cool Person, I'm sure that this'll be neat too. ^^

From the backup in Superman or Action Comics, I think. The Jimmy starring story where he has to keep some aliens bored or they'd party so hard they'd destroy the planet.

Thus resulting in Perry White reading extracts of his novel to them and Kara taking them yarn shopping. :)

It also featured the DCU debut of Chloe Sullivan (the best character in Smallville for the longest time) as well as a guy that was basically meant to be Luthor's Jummy Olsen... though I forget his name and the only other place that I remember seeing him was in the Action Comics/Secret Six crossover that Paul Cornell and Gail Simone wrote.

Nope, that was Nick Spencer doing Jimmy Olsen. And Gates' run was pretty good--especially when you compare it to what we started with when Loeb was writing...

I thought these things were supposed to be 2-3 minute shorts? Have they bumped it up to a legit half-hour series?

Huh, yeah I think that they might just be 2 minute things. :( I thought that by shorts that's what they meant, the AT structure.
