This will probably be my last KK post for a while as by now you either like the character enough to follow the series or don't. So if anyone else wants to post future issues, you won't be stepping on my toes.
Four pages from Kevin Keller #1, "There's a First Time for Everything!"
The story opens with our clean-cut All-American boy recapping his status quo for the reader. Moving quickly on, on page four we learn that young Kevin has never actually dated before, and he worries that he's going to be bad at it.
At school, class president Kevin deals with several pressing issues with ease. Betty, who's on the student council, notices that Kevin seems preoccupied. He tells her a secret, he's been asked on a date. His first.

It turns out Reggie has been eavesdropping, and devises a plan to get on the president's good side.
There's a flashback of what would have been Kevin's first date, except that everything went wrong in the preparation stage (Kevin's allergic to strawberries, by the way) and his prospective date proved to be a shallow lookist who ditched him at the car.
Reggie shows up and starts giving his own brand of dating advice, including taking Kevin shopping for a more "jazzy" outfit. They pass Veronica, who wonders what's going on.

Kevin's family bursts into laughter when they see him, but he admits the outfit is funny.
The next day, Veronica approaches Kevin about the date. She got the info out of Reggie (flashback shows a hammerlock).

Veronica makes Kevin promise he'll dish all the dirt later. Betty shows up, and she provides a shoulder for Veronica to cry on. (Best rivals 4ever!)

...with a bacon cheeseburger at Pop's!"
And then there's the big day itself, but I'm going to leave that as a bit of a surprise.
In other news, Imageshack waited until I was over a hundred images past the limit to remind me that I did in fact have a limit. I'm probably going to spring for the Premium, but just in case, you'll want to go back to my earliest posts and grab any images you're keen on keeping. And while you're there, how about some hindsight comments?
