The Autonomy Lesson

The Transformers: Robots in Disguise #1 illustrates why it's never a good idea for a military establishment to control government.

There aren't enough resources to imprison so many Decepticons, so to maintain order, the Autobots have implanted explosive chips in their heads. In addition to blowing up at the press of a button, the technology also prevents transformation and the use of special powers.

Also, some of the Decepticons, like Needlenose and Horri-Bull, have agreed to serve the Autobots as peace officers.

On Cybertron, the alt modes were mostly just useful as vehicles and such. You used 'em to get around or carry things or what have you, and then later it got adapted to covert means.

Yeah, think of alt modes as something akin to <a href="http://www.heelys.com/>heelys</a>! :) You don't use them all the time, but they're there if you need them.

The Blurr one-shot in the pre cybertron days had a pretty cool race- it had both foot sections and vehicle sections, so the racers had to be fast in both to win.
