Invincible #89
Feb. 29th, 2012 08:45 pmInvincible #89 is, of course, the issue with a cover featuring a black guy in Invincible's costume. It's probably not at all remarkable who it is, but how he gets it is, to my mind, kind of cool.

Zandale picks the yellow-and-orange outfit off the rack that he's been wearing up 'til now.
In the present day, however, Mark's in intensive care after getting exposed to the Scourge virus, and while nobody's quite sure if or when he'll pull through, Eve's "Invincible, Inc." business is floundering.

Date: 2012-03-02 05:15 pm (UTC)Black Ultimate Spider-man was announced on the 2nd of August 2011.
And Kirkman has said that Eve's hair isn't an homage to Mary Jane Watson, just that it went best with her costume colour.
The only homage is that Invinciproof's flying pose is a reference to a previous Invincible page
Two questions.
