Date: 2012-03-08 10:46 pm (UTC)Near the end of the issue, Buddy has a (presumably) prophetic dream of what the future will be like if he fails in his job of protecting and training Maxine. She (as an adult, or at least older teen) is shown fighting against the Rot (along with Swamp Thing, and a pair of older folks I assume are John Constantine and Ellen), and being killed by one of them because she wasn't as good as she should have been, due to Buddy's failure. Then he wakes up, and sees Maxine, who is still 4 years old, who tells him the bad guys are here. And they are. Cue cliffhanger issue ending.
