Date: 2012-03-09 08:11 pm (UTC)Also, I could be off, since I haven't been reading the book, but hasn't JLI itself, up until the most recent issue, been another example of such a book? That's the impression I got from everything I've seen. The book seemed to be about fighting giant robots and banter between the diverse personalities that make up the team. Lots of fans talk about wanting more balance, but when they're the same folks operating under some comic book one-drop rule, where one issue of angst retroactively renders the previous half a year's issues the same, who exactly is the one who has a problem understanding balance?
