"I love Irons' character in this new universe"

Out of curiosity, why? I love this book, but Steel's role been a weaker part of the story, in my opinion. So far, he hasn't come off as much beyond generically heroic.

Likely because he isn't greatly changed from previously. He's still a thinker and still fights hard to do the right job, like someone inspired by Superman would do.
