Some nice pieces of Joker-based material for you.
First up is this very impressive animation by a fan, showing Joker's nihilist monologue from Alan Moore's Killing Joke
From the same animator, the Joker tells a funny. Or at least his idea of a funny.
The next three are musical in nature.
Who could ever forget this timeless classic?
www.youtube.com/watch
And a great number from Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Finally a Nightmare Before Christmas-like song written and performed by a fan:
For legality (and comparison) a panel from Joker's monologue in The Killing Joke.

Date: 2012-03-09 10:04 pm (UTC)Oh, and aside from the ending (which is taken from "The Laughing Fish" episode of BTAS), the second video has a script taken from "Arkham Asylum" graphic novel (and it's a moment I've never remotely liked, though I suppose that's the point)
In "Where's the Fun in That", you may notice that Harley and co are actually doing a proper dance... they're doing the Time Warp! :)
I LOVE the Joker's Song.

Date: 2012-03-09 10:51 pm (UTC)And I liked how in B:TBaTB it was never acknowledged how or why Joker's entourage were black and white. Though it is possible they just used copious amounts of makeup. Being a henchman is a demanding job! :P
Glad you liked Joker's Song! I really loved it when I heard it the first time and still do! I can see Batman tied into an electric chair while Joker is dancing around singing. Made me lol.

Date: 2012-03-10 01:43 am (UTC)I was blown away by the voice acting! I could have sworn it was Mark Hamill himself. And the animation and background music worked great.
Joker's expressions shift from manic to melancholy and the music matches and everything. I get chills when he says: "Something like that happened to me once" and the strings start playing sadly, reminding us that there is still a man buried deep beneath Joker's madness....
Like black hole deep....
My only complaint is that the animation couldn't include a Kevin Conroy impersonator giving Batman's rebuttal to Joker's question. That would have made for epic geek glee on my part!
"Why aren't you laughing?"-Joker :(
"Because I've heard it before... and it wasn't funny the first time"-Batman >:(
