The more I think about it, Starfire as a captain is actually kind of brilliant. Just like Kirk had a woman on every world, Starfire has a man on every world.

I could see Kirk with a man and/or a woman in every world in a Van Lente's Hercules sort of way. But to be honest, Spock just doesn't seem his type at all. At least not the type of young Kirk. Geriatric Star Trek VI maybe.
