My First Comic: Amazing Spider-Man #275
Mar. 14th, 2012 05:28 pmI still have memories of how I got this comic. I was around five or six years old. My parents were vacationing at Wisconsin Dells. On the way back home given there was no such things yet called Game Boys or Walkman they bought me this comic to get my attention. Boy did it...

Eight Pages of a Thirty Eight Page Story.
Peter was in the middle of a breakdown having just suffered through the whole Sin-Eater affair. Thankfully he has MJ who now knew his secret and confessed these feelings to him.

But the real thing that made this issue stand out for me was that during this little talk with MJ we got a reprint of Amazing Fantasy #15 to boot! So after the flashback of course someone has to make Pete face his fears again. Who else but the Hobgoblin?!
With a new toy rapid finger blaster, Hobby is eager to test it and subdue his foe for good. So he does what any goblin does best. He picks a random female who just so happens to be Sha Shan.. Flash Thompson's now ex girlfriend (they broke up in this very issue due to her finding out Flash was having an affair with Betty Brant). She was on her way out of New York when Hobby showed up to kidnap her:

I have to confess Hobby's utterly villainous attitude and arrogance throughout this issue won me over as a character I just loved to hate. Cue fight between Spidey and Hobby:

Now free with no hostage, Hobby unleashes his new gadget on Spidey:

I have to confess my little mind was all O_o at the stellar action and characters sprinkled throughout this issue. Still holds up well this very day.
