Brushing teeth/in a shower: "DESHI DESHI BASARA BASARA!"
Getting dressed "DESHI DESHI BASARA BASARA!!"
And it all goes until I have my first cup of coffee at work. Its not just me, right?

Date: 2012-03-16 01:39 pm (UTC)Getting away from the linguistics, the scene in question has a character trying to use biology in an argument that is really more about justifying Nietzschean views of morality, where the superior being doesn't have to follow lesser beings morality; but the kid was obviously doing things much more for revenge than surviving in his environment as a "predator." (and ham-fisted philosophy speeches were more a character trait of his cousin).
I get what the writers were going for, with a greater motivation behind a Start Of Darkness, but the whole "deeper psychology" breaks down outside the scene and just becomes an odd thing. Like they wanted to tack on an interesting speech in the middle of a character going evil and oh yeah, he's abused and paranoid and none of that actual matters if it's correct or not.

Date: 2012-03-16 09:34 am (UTC)Then it was a reference to my job. As a salesman at the time, I was top book on my department. So I named myself that.
And then Randy Orton of the WWE started using it, so it got a little more limelight. To me, it just means the animal at the top of the food chain. The one that's not hunted by anyone else, just does the hunting.

Date: 2012-03-16 12:09 pm (UTC)On Earth that's pretty much always humans, but not exclusively so, and in area's we haven't colonised (like the oceans), the local apex predator might be just about anything (bacteria and parasites are usually excluded)
