The Phoenix is definitely trying to cop a feel in the first cover. My Jean/Wanda fan comic has been totally justified.

While I appreciate them trying to get the Phoenix to look like a bird again instead of the Greg Land monster, I think they may have gone a little too far in the wrong direction with second cover. A bit too much texture, dudes.

Makes me think of an amalgamation of anime and western comics style, but in the worst way possible.

A Phoenix-Wanda fight would have been a lot more interesting (and even) if it had happened before she gave up her reality-altering power boost. (Of course, this way the Phoenix can overcome her without burning the whole planet to a cinder in the process...)

Is Kid Gladiator's chest merging with Captain America's fist?

Kid Gladiator has bitten off more then what he chew. Attacking a team that has two scientists who could duplicate the wave of radiation that he weak against. Also Thor could match Kid Gladiator physical blow for physical blow. Thing isn't a light weight either, not to the same level as them but enough to distract him. The others are also well suited for long range distraction attacks.

Are Strontians weak to a specific wave of radiation? I know they're basically purple Kryptonians, but do they have a Kryptonite?

I thought Gladiator's main weakness was that his strength comes from his confidence so if you can get him to doubt himself he's screwed.

And we don't really know which Avengers Kid Gladiator is actually fighting. It might just be the three who are coming to the school (She-Hulk, Falcon and Moon Knight)

I don't know if there is anything like Kryptonite, but there have been a few cases where Gladiator couldn't enter a system because of the radiation being emitted by the sun would weaken him.

I actually think what happens is that they're rotating the writers, so it's not like he'll be in charge of a whole chunk, it's single issues at a time, if I'm remembering the solicits right.
