I like this, and it's interesting they've made Donna (at a guess) Hispanic... but with that in mind, a taco and burrito joke on her first outing? Am I being over-sensitive, or does that seem a mite.... I dunno... unfortunate?

I think that was more of an attempt at a Greek accent than hispanic...plus, it seems to me that tacos and burritos are sort-of like pizza where it has origins elsewhere but have been pretty much Americanized.

Anyway...was anyone confused and thought maybe Donna was supposed to be Diana a few times? I mean, with calling Hippolyta her mother, if it weren't for mentioning her sister, I would have thought they were going REAL old school with a time-displaced Diana origin. I guess the related thing is one of her twelve-dozen origins.

But yeah--it was cute enough for a minute-long short.

I like her well enough as a character but DAMN. Hopefully if/when she comes back they'll give her one origin and just stick with it.

The taco jokes aren't at her expense (really they're just displaying how single mined and "goofy" Babs) so they're not that bad to me.

I wondered about it being Greek, which is the sort of voice they'd give Diana (and which Phil Jimenez has Lois Lane mention she has a faint accent of when he was writing their day together).

Oh goodness! Twilight Sparkle is Batgirl :D My love cannot be expressed in words.

Just like Lauren Faust's other work MLP:FIM, I love the character interactions! Supergirl's eagerness to cause some mischief, Batgirl's hyperactivity, Donna as the mature one trying to rein the others in.

I know these are one-minute shorts but is it that each is entirely separate from the other? Or is there some kind of inter-connectivity between them? I would assume the former but hope for the latter.

I thought it was cute. I assumed the accent to be Greek, which Donna would have picked up on the island (though during most of her history they threw around 'Hola' a lot as well), and gave her a nice distinction. Amongst my co-workers tacos vs. burritos isn't usually about food, but I don't think that's what the toon was going for.

I can't quite tell if that is a Greek accent or not with Donna but it was an awesome accent (though being Greek-American my family would kill me for somehow not being able to tell).

Lauren Faust has created a cartoon about three superheroines, where one is brash and headstrong, one is girly and silly, and they are led by an authoritative bordering on uptight leader. How original.

Because being the occasional storyboard artist, writer, director, and supervising director qualifies her as the creator. She was part of the Powerpuff Girls team but Craig McCracken and Genndy Tartakovsky were more what I would call the "Creators".

I had that debut of Batgirl comic. I guess that's why Babs is my favorite Batgirl. The heroes you fall in love with as a child just stick with you. :)
