Well just thought to share this as some people were discussing some marriage questions in BIRDS OF PREY #7. :)

Wasn't Black Canary's husband named Larry? Although I guess that was this Black Canary's dad. Or are both Black Canaries the same person now?

Technically that would still make him the husband of Black Canaray, just not THIS Black Canary.

Old school Black Canary's husband was Larry. In the DCnU, odds are Larry still exists and so does Dinah's mom, but I imagine the former was still a detective and the latter wasn't a superhero/vigilante, given how intent DC were on pushing Johns/Lee/Morrison's stories as being the first appearances of major superheroes and Superman.

No, I got that, but if Dinah's dad was Larry Lance, then it's a little weird that her husband has the same last name. (Unless they changed Dinah's maiden name or had her husband take her last name, which would be kind of nice.)

Huh. Good point. I would like it if Dinah's husband took her name, though. That'd be a nice twist.

Yeah, I'm right up there with you on the confusion, but considering they changed her husband's name to "Kurt LANCE," chances are we're probably dealing with an amalgamation of the two Black Canaries.

It wouldn't make sense to make her the daughter of Dinah Drake and Larry Lance and then have her marry a guy with the same last name as her dad, unless he decided to take *HER* last name instead of his (which would actually be cool).
