Amazing Spiderman #682 preview

ComicbookResources.com has the preview as Spidey takes his fight against the Sinister Six to new levels.

In the battle to save the planet, it's ...
... the Amazing Spider-man vs. Al Gore.

Wonder what Colbert will make of this?

So a 25-year-old guy with super strength punched an old man in the face after realizing that he can't refute the old man's argument.

...Am I missing something here?

The bit where the ASM "creative" team will do literally anything for a sales bump. Next up: Aunt May turns tricks.

Spider-Man is smart too! And don't tell me all that time with Captain America hasn't rubbed off on him, because it has, dammit!
Yep, I'm settling for "incredibly stupid" posing as "kind of awesome".

Being smart doesn't necessarily mean he's able to be eloquent or improvise clever things to say. It's not as though one of the trademarks of the character for the last 50 years has been his witty banter during fights or anything like that.

Whoops, meant to add that. Now my arguments make sense again, thank you.

I suspect that isn't really Al Gore and Peter knows it (I have read comics before, after all). Otherwise, it's pretty inexcusable, even if I didn't like Al Gore, which I do.
