Doesn't look like she's going to have much of a significant role in this one. Just that one scene. :/

Also Selina's fears seem to change every time she gets gassed. Personally, I felt the fear of dependency made the most sense for her.

Yeah, the fact that it was Poison Ivy was interesting. Either Daniel, Winnick, or Swierczynski had some story in mind (maybe at one point Pam had Selina under her spell, similar to what happened in Hush?), or Daniel just wanted to add another cameo.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a little more than this scene, though. Daniel apparently posted this on his Facebook for the upcoming issue:



But yeah, I think the dependency thing made the most sense.

Ivy did have Catwoman under her control during the Hush storyline I believe. If I'm not mistaken there was also a fight scene against Huntress, but as I recall Ivy had Selina steal some type of formula in a green test tube. Eventually Selina retaliated and attacked Ivy, I think they were on the edge of a balcony, and to shove it in her face, Selina threw the formula over the side and Ivy was all "NOOOOOOO"

In the latest Detective Comics, Ivy was green-skinned and looked like her old pre-DCnU self.

How does something like that even happen? So lazy.

The same thing happened in the recent TDK issue. Perhaps she can shift her skin tone around, and the suit she wears is basically just that, at the moment; a living plant suit.

eh yeah fear of dependancy is one o fthe stronger ones, but the thing about fear, is that fear always changes. we recover from one fear only to have another spring up. or to have the original fear change. i personally am parlytically afraid of unnatural movements... ie high winds which cause the windows, trees, HOUSES to move ... Thunder which causes the windows and House to move.... Earthquakes which causes EVERYTHING to move.... see a pattern here... :D

i also have a fear of demons... and the devil... and freddy kreuger...

You could say that. Truthfully though, I think her fears changing is more subject to the writer than the character herself. But out of all the ones she was given, establishing a fear of dependency as her main one makes the most sense for her character.

no you're right... but the way i figured, in the batman books, once someone overcomes a fear from the toxin it either no longer becomes thier fear (as they have worked it out) or it... alters....
