There's this really good Archie story in which Betty and Veronica sit down and realize they don't really have any good reasons for why they're so attracted to Archie and so they both dump him. Immediately, all these girls start trying to date him because they want to know what made Archie so special that two super hot girls wanted him. This makes Betty and Veronica jealous, so they start trying to get him back to, the general implication being that the only thing that makes Archie attractive is the fact that other girls want him.
