Wolverine #304 preview

ComicBookResources has the preview of this issue, as Wolverine finally gets some payback for the Silver Samurai debacle.

And the resurrected Sabretooth is in as many comics as Wolverine is.

But we are not here for that, we are hear for moments when people interact.



Sabretooth is celebrating his rise to power as the new Lord of crime in Japan, taking over the hand and the Yakuza factions.


What KIND of party, Logan.

They're pretty much going to ignore Logan killing Creed deader than dead, aren't they?

If Aaron hadn't done it, someone else would have. It's Marvel, after all. I'm just glad the only guy who's managed to make Wolverine less-then-bland for the first time in years is doing it, if we really have to have Sabretooth back.

That person with the sunglasses looked like Destiny for a second there and it made me all sad and stuff.


Still, supervillian party is a pretty fun concept.

That would probably be Bloodscream (yeah, I know, he showed up in the early 90s afaik :P)
Not that much to say about him really;
A bonesaw under Sir Francis Drake who was fally wounded during a naval battle and transformed into a vampiric being by Sir Francis's personal voodoo hougan. (apparently that was how Sir Francis rolled)
The spell is only partly completed, and only the blood of a undying man (Logan?) can transform him from his vampiric existance into a true immortal.
afaik Logan killed (or mortally wounded) him with the yashida clan honor blade forged by masamune (which may be the same sword he used to behead sabretooth, but who can tell when Loeb is involved)

There's probably a small stack of boxes of cobras over in one corner at the party, with each box accompanied by a polite note expressing a different supervillain's regrets for not attending.

Except for one box of purebred Latverian tree vipers. DOOM spurns the petty cobra-- Latveria is supreme in venomous reptiles, as in all else.

Exactly, he's never shown the patience or the inclination for such a role. He's never had the political smarts or interest in anything I've read with him in it.

Okay, so now he's back from the dead Sabretooth has managed to become such a powerful figure in HOW long?

Also Doctor Doom would NOT send regrets, the absence of Doom from an event like this would be sufficient indication of his disdain. Doom doesn't NEED the criminal underworld, for he is DOOM!

The Hand has brought back Dr. Octopus, Wolverine, Elektra, Mystique, and now Sabretooth from the dead. I think the no-regen effect of the blade wears off once the body has cooled from being dead.

You mean the ridiculous sword that was basically a pathetic piece of deus ex machina anyway? Yeah, as much as I agree with auggie's assertion that hey, COMICS!, the blade was a stupid fucking concept in the first place.

I guess when the Hand brought Sabretooth back to life they "tweaked" him a bit. Yeah he's still a murderous evil jerk, but now he's a pragmatic murderous evil jerk with his eye on the big picture.

That's what it looks like to me, and I would much rather see that than the return of the whole boring "angry-animal dark-reflection-of-Logan" thing, especially because that was incredibly boring, and because Logan pretty much conquered that whole animal nature thing ages ago.

All this just adds fuel to my theory that this Sabretooth is a clone, not raised from the dead.

I like how Tiger Shark is standing out in the crowd, even when you can't see his face.

Sabretooth is dressed like a jedi. Obviously, he has learned what the masters have.
Whereas Raven and Daken are just stylin' like they usually are.

I'm still very, very confused, if anyone would be so kind as to explain what's with all the dead people.
