So Yotsuba goes on a scooter ride and sees a dog. She's scared of dogs, probably cause she read Cujo aka that one Stephen King book where the kid ISN'T magical in some way.

Since Yotsuba&! will never be animated since its own creator doesn't think it's suitable for an animated format, I'm trying to think of a show that comes close to matching Yotsuba&!'s bizarre combination of awesome and adorableness that isn't My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Not to say that MLPFiM isn't awesomely adorable (or adorably awesome), but the internet already has more than enough pony as it is.

Yotsuba&! distills the best elements of every 90s family show/movie ever, but gets rid of everything I hate about them -- the preachiness, the intolerable new characters introduced in later seasons, the inevitable PSA drug/abuse episodes. Okay, so it's nothing like a 90's show, but Yotsuba&! is still awesome.

You've obviously never lied to a little kid before, it's the greatest thing ever. I'm sad my niece is too old to swallow my bs now, it was fun while it lasted. Even back then she was slowly learning never to believe anything I told her.

Also, which chapter is this? I think I'd like to read it again. Love it when Yotsuba hulks out and runs into a fence. You can just see Duralumin was crying out, "Help me, Yotsuba!"
