Re-reading that last of the Exiles issues where that team spreads out, I assumed Miguel was on 616.

Personally, I'd like this crossover a few years down the line. It feels like we have barely seen Miles as Spidey at all.

Technically, no.

The Ultimate Universe had a crossover with a Zombie Universe.
Then, later, the Zombie Universe had a crossover with the Marvel Universe (616)

So, crossover-by-proxy. Like two degrees of separation, but not a 616-Ultimate Crossover in and of itself.

The more I think about it, the less I like this idea. And it's not because of the crossover aspect, I think the Ultimate and Main universes are now distinct enough that a crossover could have potential. What I dislike about this is its possible effect on Miles, who I have come to like. I keep hearing people, Bendis, Alonso, and people on forums, say that this will have a huge influence on him, working with someone who is essentially his hero and idol. I don't want that. I want him to grow as a character on his own. He's not quite at the superhero stage yet in his development, more like trainee. He's more Spider-Boy then Spider-Man. I think he can get there, be a real Spider-Man, but I think he should get there on his own. I love 616 Spider-Man more then any superhero, but I don't want Miles to become him. I want Miles to be his own Spider-Man.

Well this sounds...odd. Though I guess they did do a Spider-man 2099 meets 616 Spiderman story before so it's not too out there. But it seems kinda early for Miles to meet Peter even if it isn't his universe's Peter.

I wonder which Spidey is visiting the other's universe. It'd probably be more traumatic for Miles to visit a world where everything is different, seeing as he's still new to the superhero thing. He might even meet an alternate version of himself who, considering the age difference between the two Peters, could already be a adult. Peter on the other hand, probably wouldn't be too phased by visisting an alternate universe. He`s been at this for a while, and even a universe where his counterpart dies as a teenaged Spider-Man probably wouldn`t phase him too much.

I think I would personally prefer Peter in the ulimate universe instead of vice versa. I think it would be pretty neat to see how all of ultimate Peter`s friends and family deal with meeting an adult version of him.

I don't think this is something that Miles Morales needs right now characterwise, unless he meets Pete and notes "The first Spider-Man on my Earth was an incredibly cool 15 year old kid... YOU'RE who he would grown up to be???"

Honestly? I think this is rather awesome.

With any luck, it won't be a huge crisis, and it won't involve any non-spidey characters from either side - just a small mini-series where Peter Parker goes to a world where he became Spider-Man at age fifteen because of his uncle - and then died shortly afterward.

And of course Peter interacting with Miles ought to be very interesting.

Does seem rather soon, as Miles is still new for me too. But whatever, I'm in.

I wonder how open Peter will be... it would be interesting if Miles spills on what happened to Peter in his universe, explaining how he got to be Spider-man, and maybe Peter decides for some reason that he shouldn't identify himself as the AU version of the same guy.

Maybe, in light of Miles' putting Ult. Peter on a pedestal, 616 Peter would feel inadequate in his shadow, and decide not to ruin whatever idealism Miles might have over the whole thing.
