I've always loved Jim Aparo's artwork. It combines a cartoony quality with a classic superheroic look.

(I also wonder if DC would let a series get away with a cover like this anymore? No action poses? Just people talking? Heh!)

Anyway, I'm using this post to say I'm taking a break from Scans Daily. I plan to visit when the moderators start up their discussion post and may join in then. I also want to apologize if I have offended anyone in my (admittedly) over-long argument with the mods.

And now it appears I'm officially banned. Well, so long Scans Daily. It'd been fun.

shanejayell, since your reinstatement to the comms, your behaviour has been disruptive in the following ways:

1. You deliberately attempted to initiate a discussion that---by its very nature---is designed to cause disruption within the community, even after you were explicitly told NOT to do this by the mod team. You were especially told to wait for an official mod post that would eventually address all the changes to the rules before voicing any further concerns.

2. You have continued to repeatedly demonstrate your lack of respect for the mods by (a) continuing to respond to mod replies with passive-aggression, (b) linking to pages from your LJ that demonstrate users insulting the mods, and (c) you even went as far as to equate the mod team with "old grannies who force members on a quilt-a-thon," which in itself is misogynistic and ageist. Furthermore, you have continued to aggressively assert your disagreements EVEN LONG after the mod team has addressed and over-addressed them. It's one thing to disagree on the changes, and another to repeatedly harass the mod team about the changes you disagree with.

3. You disrespected a fellow comm member by passive-aggressively suggesting they were being irrational when they were right to call you out on your bullshit.

4. You have made a post on Scans_Daily that is a "legality only" post which the mods have already posted rules discussing these posts are not to be used on Scans Daily. You have done this in an attempt to deliberately bait this issue.

Seeing as you clearly have no intention of stepping down from your personal vendetta anytime soon, we have absolutely no reason to keep you on board for either comm. This is your THIRD STRIKE. You have now been banned from both Scans_Daily and NoScans_Daily.
