Starting the weekend with some very cute Star Wars

Now you know that I have my little... quirks, but I do like me some cute of a weekend, and this hits the spot...

I found a copy of this new book in my local comic shop, HAD to buy it (despite the fact it was the only one that they had in and I think the owner wanted to read it himself, and I wanted to share it because it is AWESOME!

Simply a collection of one page gags featuring a refreshingly light take on the father/son dynamic at the core of George Lucas magnum opus...

Essentially.. "What if... Darth Vader raised Luke like a good father would"

No commentary needed on any of these, so I'll shut up now...









Oh, and fear not, Leia does make an appearance....


And there are 64 pages like this in the book!

I was scrolling down complaining about the fact that I didn't see Leia and there she is! People always forget about lovely Leia. I will so be buying this book, it's just too cute!

That's ok Luke. Leia will be nothing but eye candy in the final installment. You can even tell her she's not important to the rebellion unless you're dead.

What I loved is that George Lucas approved of this. And people say he doesn't have a sense of humour. . . .

This looks pretty great. (And a very different sort of project for Brown, although I do enjoy his previous, autobiographical material as well. Not his first venture into genre work, though; I think that some of his stuff from Marvel's Strange Tales showed up on s_d previously.)
