Ouch, putting your sorrows in a stone dragon never helps anyone. It's what Robin Hobb taught me.

Also: Heh. Goat-invasion.

Bloody hell, Ebot, did you really have to spoil that for me? I haven't even finished volume 2 of Locke & Key!

Your fascination with the skeeviest moments in comics can really ruin it for other people sometimes.

Sorry. :( The comic's been out for over a year, so I thought that it was okay in terms of spoilers. That and I don't know the code.

Will delete the post anyhoo.

That's one thing I really like about this series--this isn't taking the easy, "extreme" route with it's premise. They kill their enemies because they believe it's necessary, but they still feel pain and remorse from their decisions. It makes the threats they fight feel that much more powerful and effective.

Man, that first art swings back and forth between pretty good and pretty not. Really digging the second art, though.

I'd seen some of these scans before, but "Braddock brothers, together to the end" drove it home. My soul hurts.

I MAGICALLY CAN'T FEEL NOW THUS DEFLECTING ANY BLAME FROM ME TEEHEE

YOUR SO MEAN WHY DID YOU MAKE ME MAKE YOU BREAK YOUR OWN BROTHERS NECK ON SHORT NOTICE

and if it's that kind of time paradoxcouldn't they break the timeline:
by informing Jaime of what he would eventually do
preventing him from ever doing it
preventing the event from ever occuring
preventing -this- from ever occuring

come to think of it wouldn't killing Jaime prevent the need for killed jaime thus preventing the killing of jaime?

Terrible Art. Terrible Writing.

For that matter, shouldn't the timeline be broken already? I mean, current Jamie has obviously realized that Evil Goat Demon Is Evil, so presumably future Jamie won't make a bargain with him. Unless future Jamie has amnesia, because he resurrected due to Comics! after Betsy murdered him.

Ugh. The whole thing can be avoided simply by murdering Jamie Braddock whenever you see him. There's a 92% chance he's currently a homicidal lunatic anyway.

Yes, and this should have been a rule ever since that one bit in the Alan Davis run on Captain Britain. Jamie Braddock clearly forfeited his humanity early on in every incarnation I have ever seen, WON'T YOU LEARN BRIAN?

Have you read any previous X-Force issues? I'll give you the art, but not the writing.

Yeah, but since the Goats are beings from beyond time and space, their deal has already happened, and going back in time in the MU only creates an alternate reality, not a fixed one.

Remember when we said X-Force was going to b a big fail and called it Stabbity Force and now it's one of the best books Marvel has?

Just reminding everyone that not all new changes that come around in comics will be bad. Fans just hate change.

Eh, I don't really like how they brought back Jamie with no explanation, made him sane, and then killed him off.

And it's well-written, but most of the team members are pretty unsympathetic.

"And it's well-written, but most of the team members are pretty unsympathetic."

Well, yeah, they're a handpicked black ops wetworks team. They're supposed to be pretty unsympathetic.

Still, it feels like we're supposed to root for them. Like, I'm supposed to be rooting for Fantomex when he's on trial for shooting a kid in the head.

If she didn't feel any grief then there's no reason to rub Brian's nose in it. Even the other emotions she'd feel in this situation, like anger at Brian refusing to do it, would be based out of sorrow that she had to kill Jamie.

So if she can't feel that then there's nothing to trigger those other emotions

that kind of brings up the problem about a character with no emotion; there's really no such thing.

Perhaps she didn't get rid of her sorrow so much as redirect the input into the appropriate emotion when she should feel it.
