Billy meets his new family.




Darla cries and runs off, and the others go after her. Mary pushes Billy into his room.





Billy says to himself that he didn't mean to make Darla cry. Then it starts thundering, and he sees a face that looks like the wizard Shazam in the clouds.

Yeah, I liked this a lot! Billy's getting an arc, where we'll most likely see him progress to the kinder, gentler Billy, whom we see a glimpse of when he's finally alone. The rest of the kids are already pretty interesting, and if this IS going to be the Flashpoint version, then all the kids will combine into Captain Marvel (which is sad, if there's never going to be a Mary Marvel, but who knows, maybe they'll each have limited individual powers?) and it will be a story about all of them, which I'm looking forward to reading.
