It's kind of odd that Brian Wood is coming on board and doesn't want to use her, given the kinds of characters he usually writes. But given the rather large status quo change and the fact that she headlined her own mini with Wolverine - not something a lot of characters can lay claim to these days - maybe it's wise to take her off the board for a bit. The vampire-thing could just get dull, otherwise.
