Hey Guys. I don't know if this qualifies as a legality (is it fan art or a web comic as the artist does seem to post regularly?). I requested a drawing from NotThisCrap on Tumblr (who is fast becoming my FAVORITE artist ever) for my birthday a week ago, and i wanted to share it here,



I asked NotThisCrap to draw various LGBT characters from the DCU (and Kate Spencer because i love her) and this is what i got :D i love it! Honestly guys, words cant express how much i love this :D



if this does not count as a legality scan please let me know and i will figure out how to fix it

and yeah, these were the specific characters i mentioned, for some reason AandM skipped my mind, and she didn't want to add any i had not mentioned. i'm still over joyed with it! :D

OH, my bad--still mostly recognize those blokes by their costumes.

It's odd, 'cause I would think that there were more gay characters in the DCU than this. Maybe it's cause I'm also thinking of the ladies.

no i am just be... crabby.... i love Avengers Academy, i love (or rather will love) Lui's Atonishing. I WANT to like Wolverine and the xmen, but the slight hypocrisy and HORRIBLE are prevent me, i could get over the hypocrisy, but that ART... to be frank i am still angry about BND.... and quite frankly i am having Event fatigue from them... but astonishing and AA are on my pulls

W&tXM is kind of pissing me off as well (and i love Baccalo's art!) for how it treats its female characters. Feels like there's something making me want to throw my issue at the wall every issue regarding how it handles female characters. Grrr.

yeaaah, I understand event fatigue. No sooner does one event finish that a new one start. And AvX looks dreadful so far.

see AvX has so much potential, but it has not grabbed me... between this, and whats going on in spider-man, and the two other events going on at the same time....? ugh it's really REALLY annoying me...

spider-man ends of the earth.... and i think the Ultron War.... and one other.... the thing is... WHEN are these all taking place?

I didn't know Ultron war was already starting! or that spiderman had an event right now.

hmm I guess I'm most on the X-corner of Marvel plus a handful of titles like Avengers Academy & Punisher (cuz Rucka).

see what also annoys me is that i LOVED NEW Avengers, MOSTLY because we were promised Jessica Jones would be involved more... but i havent seen her do much at all... infact most of that book has seemd inconsequential to ANYTHING and that pisses me off. ...

OMG I followed most of New Avengers - mostly because Victoria Hand was in it - and that was such a debacle. It didn't start too badly, but it got to crap so quickly. The last issues I read were embarrassing. I think Bendis really needs to take a break.

its really sad, because that series started off so good! but the arcs were so long and just... i don't know... the art didn't help... it was so dark... (and yeah iLOVED Hand too, but... ugh..) though i admired that Mockingbird and Spider-woman stood up for her. Double agenting is NEVER easy...

Jessica Jones' involvement seems to consist mostly of freak out, grab the baby, run away, and lecture Luke later about how their life is too dangerous for a baby.

Which may be true, so then do something about it. Either quit and go off somewhere, or deal with it.

There's Shvaughn Erin, but that was pretty ill-handled - well intentioned, but not so well executed.

(I really want them to do it again, only, you know, better. Both because I'd love to have a trans character to appear, and so my choice of 'Siobhan'* for my femme name could reference a story I find less cringeworthy. Why do I reference it, if it bothers me so? I love the Legion, and it is well intentioned.)

Gail Simone said he was supposed to be bi, I think on her tumblr? Or an interview, or somethign. Due to Secret Six's cancellation it was never on "screen" though.

... well... I was the mod pushing for anything that needs to be scanned, so to speak, to be legal, but I don't think we actually went and had proper deliberation about. However this is taking so much time for us to do so, in the mid-time go and have fun with it :p I'll take responsibility for it.

On a side note, I once thought most DC superheroines were lesbians or bisexual. Only problem is I also thought it was only to please the typical male audience's fantasies.
Now? Just bought a Manhunter trade paperback (to be read monday morning while drinking a nice cup of Peruvian coffee).
Also, Ted? I love you, and I respect you, but Oracle belongs with Black Canary. But hey, there's always Booster Gold. *Trapped in various timelines that do not involve the New 52.*

... Interesting thought. I find a disproportionate number read that way to me (Fire and Ice as specific examples of those who aren't officially out - I am still incapable of not shipping them), but I never got the impression of 'most'...

I didn't even read DC comics back then, I was only familiar with a handful of heroines I'd found out about here and there, so having those impressions of ''it's only for fanservice'' without giving the actual couples a chance was most unwise of me.
