Well, I have not read this issue and therefore can't fully comment on how it was done here, but I have always found the assertion that 'Magneto beting Iron Man is the logical conclusion' to be a very flawed one, since it relies on Iron Man's power set being static. There are very few people Tony Stark cannot outthink, and Magento is far, far away from being one of them. If he knows the fight is coming, there is absolutly no reason he could not come up with something to negate Magneto's powers. Heck, if Tony can just make repulsors that Magneto's magnetism forcefield can't block it would probably be enough to end the fight in one or two hits.

Well, that's just the whole 'Magneto has become massively overpowered' thing, which I vehemently dislike.

At least with Tony you can have the initial fight where he is surprised by an unexpected foe/ability and loses/retreats, followed by him coming up with a hopefully well written way of winning. Boring when poorly done, but at least that has potential for good fights when written competently.

GodModeMagneto has no such redeeming feature. Magneto with every single past deed taken into account is basicly a god and has no excuse for ever not immediatly winning against any foe that does not have cosmic level powers. I would really not mind if they depowered Magneto back to his silver age levels, the ones where five teenaged X-men working together were enough to take him down on a regular basis.

I'm pretty sure the wormhole was just the once, considered kind of a stretch, and probably one subconsciously caused by Wanda's powers.

Tony probably can too, given a sufficient budget. (Reed certainly can, and I'm sure Tony has read his research notes)
