So, Tony's ineffective "baby sitter" from the greatly flawed 2nd movie is now part of mainstream Marvel cannon, as well as being on a Avengers poster... good to know that ALL of the fans who wanted THAT got it...

Actually Coulson debuted in the first IM and tries to help Pepper stop Stane from putting on the Iron Monger armor. They fail due to plot but Coulson was pretty competent.

Still though, he is going to be a "profesional" version of Deadpool in the comics now? While Chloe from Smallville can barely hold onto a continuity before it is rebooted?

So you're going to blame one character for another company's inability to keep a character around, when hundreds of DC characters have basically been flushed down the toilet at the moment? Also, how is he a 'professional Deadpool'?

No, just thinking out loud.

And by "professional Deadpool" the guy is a trained killer with a sense of humor, as you can see in the panels, basically just like Deadpool. Except here, he is G-Man with a suit and tie, a trademark of what "professional" killers/assignations wear.

I honestly don't see where you are getting Deadpool from. Wade is well past crazy, not just a guy with "a sense of humor".

Now, call him a Marvel version of James Bond, and you may have something.

Coulson is a total Mary Sue in the movie, IMHO. Hate to see him now in the cannon.
