I guess it was "fate" that the new guy's eye jsut HAPPENS to be the same as Nick's and fate just HAPPENS to prevent it from healing over....

Seriously though, I am freaking out how much that parody story is like this one, and they were made years apart...

To be fair, the villain intentionally removed his eye to make him look like Fury, or something.

I think I'm bad, but I read this as:
'YOU! Samuel Jackson! You're the new Nick Fury!' *Takes guy's eye out* '...I did it! NO ONE will see the difference! NO ONE!!'

I need to rethink my life.

How does that changed anything that page was parodying? It was still seem very unlikely that a guy who lost the same eye as Nick Fury was going to become the NEXT Nick Fury right after the chance the original is most likely to die from old age? (rapid putted off age of course, but you get the point)
